X-Plane 11 penalty for landing lights

Post by disidd » October 3rd, 2017, 1:26 pm

Hello!
I'm flying to X-Plane 11 and the client gives me a penalty every time :
0 Landing lights were left off below 10000FT
1.21 Landing lights were left off below 10000FT
What Just did not do is still penalty. Does anyone know the solution to this problem?

Just turn that off in your options. If you can not, ask your CEO to turn that off (lights below ...).

Hi Sven, how are you doing?

We have this issue too on XP11 with Zibo 737.

Another thing that pops up on us is the issue regarding landing gear position (off), we have already tested with widefs/xplane options and we got the same penality. Setting the landing gear to off is the same as the landing gear down.

0 Landing lights were left off below 10000FT. -3.25
0.21 The gear were extended beyond 250 KIAS. -8.25
0.52 The gear were extended beyond 300 KIAS. -8.25
0.63 The gear were extended beyond 250 KIAS. -8.25
0.67 Landing lights were left off below 10000FT. -3.25
A very soft landing made your passengers happy. 3.50
Pilot Rating 72.25

Please can you help us decrease our penalties and make more $$$, is a bit expensive repairing the landing gear :o))))

Log into VCAS and go to VA Options.

Scroll down and find LANDING LIGHTS: and SPEED RESTRICTIONS: and switch them to OFF. That will stop that from happening.

Or turn your lights ON and SLOW DOWN before you open your gear! ;)

Hi Sven

We made a test flight and even with landing/speed options set to off, we got the same behavior when setting the landing gear to off position on XP11. We have tested with P3DV4/PMDG and we can set the landing gear to off position with no problems or penalties, even with the landing/speed options is set to on.

XP11, 737Zibo Mod, XPUIPC and VAFS are on latest versions.

Is there any specific version of XPUIPC that we should use on XP11 to avoid this behavior?

Please find below some information about the flight data and penalties.

Hi Alessandro

I am guessing here as I do not have XPlane, however it seems that FSUIPC is only expecting 2 values for the landing gear. That would be up or down, 1 or 0. It is not expecting another value.

0 = up, 1 = down. It seems that "Off" is being calculated as more than 0 and defaulting to 1, the down value.

To test this, do a small flight and leave the gear in the "Up" position and not the "Off" position. If you do not receive the errors please let me know. It is something I can look at but it will not be for a while unfortunately.

Let us know what you find out.

Mike
